ON THE ROAD WITH JESSE MCCARTNEY

Tonight Jesse McCartney takes his concert tour to Salt Lake City, Utah’s Abravanel Hall. The Leavin’ singer tells me his rider includes kombucha tea, Red Bull, water, vegetables and raw almonds.

Any embarrassing moments? “I remember this one time I was walking out onstage,” he tells me. “The curtain opens, I go out onstage and … no microphone in my hand. I always walk out with the microphone in my hand! I go out onstage and the track’s starting and I’m like ‘I don’t have a mic.’ I had to run to the side of the stage and get the mic. I’d left it in the bathroom.  It was one of those idiotic moments where you’re spacing. It’s one of those moments where you’re like ‘where are my sunglasses?’ and they’re sitting on top of your head. Hey Jesse Fans,

Here is an article about Jesse performance at the Orpheum Theater (August 7).

Performing live on a double-bill including American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, Jesse Mccartney hit the stage at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday night (August 7).

Dressed in a sharkskin-colored suit and white sneakers, the 21-year-old singer was all about a memorable experience for this particular gig.

According to a Los Angeles Times report, “(Jesse) opened with a slice of the Verve’s Bittersweet Symphony and later said backstage that he wanted an epic start and that he first learned of the song from the Nike commercial in the ‘90s.”

Meanwhile, Jesse has nothing but praise for his tour partner, Ms Sparks, saying: “She’s an incredible performer. She knows how to entertain the crowd.”

Here is the beginning of a recent article i read today about Jesse.

Jesse McCartney is not related to the other McCartney, but you couldn't be blamed for thinking he is related to Sir Paul.
    That's because Jesse McCartney is the co-writer of one of the biggest songs on the planet, "Bleeding Love," by Leona Lewis.
    Not bad for a 21-year-old known mostly for being a teenage heartthrob on shows such as "Summerland," "All My Children" and "Hannah Montana." "You never know what will be huge and what will never be heard," said McCartney, who will co-headline an Aug. 11 show at Abravanel Hall with "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks.

McCartney has received an added boost in Arizona from powerhouse DJs Johnjay Van Es and Rich Berra. The 21-year-old has made several appearances on their morning show, which airs weekdays on KRQ (93.7-FM) in Tucson. McCartney's label even flew the two out to Los Angeles so Berra could accompany McCartney on an acoustic version of "Leavin'." That particular version will be available for a limited time on iTunes, Amazon and more than 100 other digital download sites starting at midnight on Aug. 26, according to show reps. Proceeds will go to benefit the show's "Christmas Wish" charity.
