For the 22nd Annual Kids' Choice Awards Jesse McCartney is nominated for Male Singer. He is going up against Chris Brown, Kid Rock, and T-Pain.

 

Nickelodeon's 22nd Annual Kids' Choice Awards will air live on the cable network from the Pauley Pavilion at the University of California, Los Angeles, on March 28.

Due to conflicts with touring and being able to go to bootcamp to practice martial arts for the role of Zuko, Jesse has been replaced by Dev Patel from Slumdog Millionaire.

Ever since Entertainment Weekly reported in December that Director  M. Night Shyamalan is making a live-action take on AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER has been causing controversy, but not about the movie being made into a live action film, but on the Cast Members he offered to play the roles to.

Roles:

Aang to karate-trained Texan Noah Ringer

Sokka to Jackson Rathbone (TWILIGHT)

Katara to Nicola Peltz (DECK THE HALLS)

Zuko to Jesse McCartney

Why is this causing such a controversy? This may all be due to the fact that the roles being offered to play Asian characters are all Caucasian actors.

Writer/director M. Night Shyamalan has reportedly found his cast ensemble for "The Last Airbender. In a casting report, Entertainment Weekly claimed that Jesse McCartney and Jackson Rathbone's names have popped out in the cast ensemble list for the live-action adaptation of animation series "Avatar: The Last Airbender".
