Check out the Winnipeg Sun, they have an article on how Jesse is maturing as a performer. In they quote Jesse:

"This record represents growth both musically and as a person which was my biggest goal in making this album," McCartney says during a Canadian promotional stop. "I wanted fans to see growth, personal growth and I think it's a coming-of-age record. It was written from a 21-year-old male perspective. I think I definitely took baby steps the last few years and I'm definitely where I want to be for sure."
